I love music.

As does my husband. And my kids too. It’s a good thing too since I’m playing music almost all the time.  If dinner needs to be cooked, the little Bluetooth speaker is often found before the pots and pans.  (and there is always a sigh of relief when it’s found!)

The loudness of the music often depends on Momma’s mood.  The style of the music often varies.  Sometimes it’s slow or fast.  Disney princesses, Josh Groban, Sacred styles of The Wilds and Bob Jones University, Celtic Woman, Celtic Thunder, Il Divo, & the Dark Knight all round out my top choices of music.

But once in a while, I will deviate.  I require swells of music that speak to my very soul.  If a new song or a remake fits that specific requirement, then I’m instantly in love.  And recently I was reminded of one such Christmas song that fit this bill.

After some research, it seems that YouTube or the radio (if you’re lucky) is about the only place to find this version of Hallelujah.  I love the lyrics switch, so pay close attention to the newer words.

The final verse lyrics are my favorite. It truly points to the promise of what happened that special morning (Cloverton Lyrics)

I know You came to rescue me
This baby boy would grow to be
A man and one day die for me and you
My sins would drive the nails in You
That rugged cross was my cross, too
Still every breath You drew was Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
