So often intimacy is only associated with marriage, but it is so much more than that!
In this final stretch before Christmas, I'm sharing with you ways that I've found to have and give more intimacy this holiday season.
Join me as we look at 12 days of unexpected and new-found intimacy. And who knows, you might just find yourself Glowing Still a bit more brightly!
Of all the neighborhoods in my little town, I think I found the happiest little niche of them all. Why??? Because, if you were to drive past my house, it wouldn’t stand out very much. It’s not a fancy area. No one has a house in the million-dollar range. There are no vaulted ceilings or special layouts. Most houses are simply built ranch-style homes, but they are strong and sturdy little homes.
But I have a special secret in the house next to mine. I have the nicest neighbor in the world. And I’m super thankful for him. He always has a big smile for us when we see him. He is so kind to my children. He’s never annoyed with them when they’re continually talking to him while he’s trying to work. He just smiles and talks with them, and gives them his full attention (and usually sends them home with some candy). At Christmas time, he always makes sure my kids have a special gift just from him.
So on this first day of unexpected intimacy, I want to say a special thank you to my sweet neighbor. He is never a stranger in our house or to our family. He is a trusted friend, and we love him. And he makes my little corner of the world extra special!
